Indosan Nippon Japanese Temple

Indosan Nippon Japanese Temple

Indosan Nippon Japanese Temple, located at a distance of 15 km from the heart of the city, is one of the most famous temples of Bodh GAYA. Carved with Buddhist preaching, the temple reflects Japanese architecture and is beautifully carved out of wood.

Constructed in 1972, this shrine is among one of the most frequented shrines of the region. In addition, the temple also houses a gallery, which has Japanese paintings that reveal some of the most notable events from the life of Gautam Buddha. Moreover, in order to preserve and spread Buddhism and preaching given by Lord Buddha, several projects have been initiated by this shrine. For these projects, the Japanese Government along with several other people has provided funds to the temple.
